GET LOST IN THE GROOVE & COME TO YOUR SENSES   

What is RhythmShifting all about?  I guess you could say it started many moons ago, when I was around three years old - sitting on the floor spinning Beatles albums and literally rocking out to the music!  Soon, I was playing songs on small cardboard model boxes with unsharpened pencils.  From there it went to my first practice pad and drumsticks, then a snare drum and then finally in the 7th Grade I got my first real drum set!

I began playing in bands in the 8th Grade and began teach drum lessons at the age of 16 to all the neighbor kids.  You could say I got the groove in me at a very early age . . . The story is not so much more unusual than your story - than all of our stories - because it's in the rhythm and thru the music that we all find our deepest connection in life!  RhythmShifting just makes all the rest of it - a little more tolerable!

As far as the program goes, ultimately RhythmShifting has been created and designed to add some inspiration and activation to all of our lives!  We will drum together, wire together and fire together!  We'll also be covering thoughts, feelings, attitudes, perceptions, and experiences utilizing metaphors and creative concepts to better understand how we make sense of the world.  But ultimately the majority of the program will be about holding the drumsticks, finding our grooves, and coming together in a creative container and space that promotes fun, creativity, self-expression, cohesion, cooperation and mental well being through the experience of drumming, creating beats, designing music, and jamming together!
